Tom Barnett has been promoted to managing director of Craven Street Wealth and Kreston Reeves Financial Planning.
Barnett will replace David Hurst, who is retiring after leading Kreston Reeves for 30 years but will continue as a consultant to the company.
Barnett joined Kreston Reeves in 2007 and was later appointed director in 2013.
Craven Street Wealth was launched in March 2021 following the acquisitions of Kreston Reeves and Christchurch Investment Management.
It is the wealth management business of Craven Street Capital.
The combined business now manages around £1bn in assets and has nine financial planners.
Hurst said he would like to congratulate and provide his full support of Tom’s appointment “knowing that he will place the same emphasis on quality client service”.
Barnett said: “I would like to thank David for his support and mentoring over the years.
“I would also like to assure our clients that they will continue to receive the same high standard of advice and support whilst we continue to develop and expand our investment propositions, range of services, platform technology and systems.
We have a brilliant team at Craven Street Wealth and I have every confidence in our future”.
The appointment comes after Patricia Ivan joined Craven Street Wealth’s executive committee in November last year.
Soondra Appavoo, chief executive of Craven Street Capital, said: “Craven Street Wealth has had an excellent first year.
“We are delighted with the appointments of Tom and Patricia and look forward to working with them to continue developing a modern, professional, client focused wealth business”.
